Retro-gaming isn’t a just a hobby, it’s an obsession. If you’re a gamer of any age you understand and probably know the addiction all too well. We really need these games and suffer withdrawal without them! Okay, that might be a bit excessive but the point is we gamers are quite passionate about our “hobby” as it were. This blog is dedicated to all those old school video games we know and love.
You’ll find information on all the best systems and games here from the original Nintendo right through N64. Some of my personal, all-time, favorite role playing games are on these old school systems and I doubt I’m the only one who wasted, err, spent hour and hours playing the simple story of Dragon Warrior through. Right on through to the Super Nintendo hits like
Mario Kart and Donkey Kong Country. What would you rather do than enjoy a nice long session on these beautiful old console gaming rigs? They just don’t make them like this anymore, huh!
And part of the fun with these systems has always been the quirky nature of the beasts. If you wanted to be a gamer in this era you had to become a technician just about. It’s like the pioneering motorists slash mechanics of the early driving days. Except a lot more comfortable, that’s to be sure! Although gaming does have its risks and I’ll touch on them briefly and help you avoid some of the worst. Gotta stretch those wrist and hands out people, these gaming rigs are not always the most ergonomically designed…
They sure are fun though aren’t they? I’ll help you keep the fun rolling with some easy tips and tricks as well. Everyone probably knows the basics by now, unplug, replug, blow on the cartridge but I’ve got some special Kung Fu I will share with you grasshopper. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. There was a time when you could buy these systems cheaply and easily but that time has passed and some day there will be no more new Nintendos so these repair skills are a must have for the retro-gaming enthusiast.
Don’t worry, it’s not all doom and gloom though! The public service announcement is over, on to the gaming! Let them eat cake! Okay enough of that. bottom line though this site is all about fun and all about the games. If you’re an old school gamer make sure you leave me a message or drop me an email!
